Privacy Statement Secure Your Property
Secure Your Property respects your privacy and will process your personal data in a secure and careful manner, in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, including the Dutch General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). This statement explains which personal data Secure Your Property processes, for what purpose, how Secure Your Property subsequently handles this data and for how long this data is stored. You are advised to read this privacy statement carefully.

Personal data
Secure Your Property processes personal data within the meaning of Article 4 GDPR. Personal data is defined as: all data that can provide information about identified or identifiable natural persons. Secure Your Property does not intend to collect data about website visitors who are under 16 years of age. If the personal data is the data of an individual under the age of 16, then reasonable consent of the parent(s) or guardian(s) is required to modify, delete or otherwise process personal data. If you believe Secure Your Property has collected personal data from minors without consent, please contact Secure Your Property. The data will then be deleted.
Personal data, basis and purposes
In the first place, personal data are processed when you enter into an agreement with Secure Your Property. The data requested in any case are first and last name, address details, email address and phone number. In addition, your personal data will be processed for billing and accounting purposes. Data is collected through the contact form on the website, email contact, telephone conversations, social media or through personal conversations.
The personal data that Secure Your Property processes are:
- first and last name;
- gender;
- address information;
- phone number;
- email address;
- company information (including Chamber of Commerce number and/or VAT number);
- payment data;
- other personal data that you actively provide to Secure Your Property, for example in correspondence or by telephone.
Secure Your Property processes this data for the following purposes:
- To correctly address or write to you using Mr. or Mrs. and your name;
- To send you offers from Secure Your Property;
- To execute the agreement you entered into with Secure Your Property, such as delivery and installation of alarm systems;
- To handle your payment;
- to inform you about changes in services and/or products of Secure Your Property;
- if Secure Your Property is legally obliged to do so, such as data Secure Your Property needs for administration, invoicing, accounting and tax return.
Secure Your Property processes your data on the basis of the consent you have given, on the basis of an agreement you have entered into with Secure Your Property, if this is necessary to safeguard legitimate interests of Secure Your Property or on the basis of a legal obligation. Personal data will not be processed in a manner incompatible with the purposes for which it was obtained.
Retention period personal data
Personal data processed by Secure Your Property will not be kept longer than necessary to realize the aforementioned purposes for which the personal data are collected. Personal data will be kept until the legal retention period, unless otherwise necessary (Article 5 GDPR). Invoices and financial records (including company data, first and last name, address data, e-mail address and telephone number) are kept – for the purpose of the legal administration obligation of the Tax Office – at least 7 years. After this period, the data will be deleted or anonymized.
Sharing personal data with third parties
Secure Your Property will not share your personal data with third parties, unless this is necessary for the execution of the agreement, to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations or on the basis of mandatory laws and regulations. These third parties are obliged to confidentiality by virtue of a processing agreement and/or legal obligation.
Secure Your Property will, if necessary, enter into a processor agreement/secrecy agreement with companies processing your personal data on behalf of Secure Your Property in order to strive for the same level of security and confidentiality of your personal data. Secure Your Property will remain responsible for this processing. Secure Your Property will never sell personal data to third parties.
Your personal data will (potentially) be shared with these third parties:
- engaged third parties, e.g. external cooperation partners, postal and delivery services, software companies, etc;
- IT partners, who provide hosting and maintenance of the website;
- collection and/or bailiff office, if this is necessary for the collection of claims of Secure Your Property;
- payment services and systems;
- accounting program/bookkeeper;
Automated decision-making
The personal data Secure Your Property works with is always processed by a person. Secure Your Property does not make decisions about matters that could (significantly) affect individuals, based on automated processing. These are decisions made by computer programs and/or computer systems.
Your privacy rights
You have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- the right to be informed (article 15 GDPR);
- the right to access (article 15 GDPR);
- the right to rectification (Article 16 GDPR);
- the right to erasure (Article 17 GDPR);
- the right to restrict processing (Article 18 GDPR);
- the right to data portability (Article 20, first paragraph under a GDPR);
- the right to object (Article 21 GDPR);
- rights relating to automated decision-making and profiling (Article 18 GDPR).
To exercise said rights, please send your request to nfo@secureyourproperty.es. Secure Your Property will evaluate your request as soon as possible and at the latest within 30 days. If Secure Your Property cannot fulfill your request, it will always let you know why your request has been rejected. Secure Your Property is entitled to verify your identity, by requesting the presentation of a valid identification document, driver’s license or passport, when you make such a request. In this copy, black out your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy.

Secure Your Property handles your personal data with care and takes appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect personal data against loss, destruction or unlawful use, which are reasonable given the costs involved and the nature of the personal data.
